DOT & Non-DOT Drug Testing Services

Full-service drug and alcohol testing programs designed to keep your company compliant and your drivers safe. From consortium membership to individual testing and training, we handle it all.

Consortium Membership

Join Our DOT Random Testing Consortium

Owner-operators and small fleets often don't have enough drivers to manage their own random testing pool. By joining our consortium, you combine your drivers into a larger pool — meeting DOT random testing requirements without the administrative burden.

  • DOT-compliant random selection management
  • Annual minimum testing rates monitored for you
  • Automated selection notifications and deadlines
  • Full record-keeping and MIS reporting
  • Transfer existing drivers from another consortium

DOT Random Testing Rates

Current FMCSA minimum annual rates for random testing:

Drug Testing
50%
Alcohol Testing
10%

Rates are applied to the average number of drivers in the consortium pool. We manage all calculations and selections for you.

Testing Circumstances

When Testing Is Required

DOT regulations require testing in six specific circumstances. We coordinate every type of test your company needs.

Pre-Employment Testing

Required before a new hire begins performing safety-sensitive functions. We arrange testing at a convenient collection site and deliver results quickly.

Random Testing

As part of our consortium, your drivers are entered into a DOT-compliant random selection pool. We manage selections, notifications, and deadlines throughout the year.

Post-Accident Testing

Testing required after qualifying accidents. We provide 24/7 guidance on when testing is required and arrange immediate collection at the nearest available site.

Reasonable Suspicion Testing

When a trained supervisor observes specific physical, behavioral, or performance indicators, we coordinate testing promptly and confidentially.

Return-to-Duty Testing

After a policy violation, we help employees return to safety-sensitive work with a SAP-approved plan and a directly observed return-to-duty test.

Follow-Up Testing

Following return-to-duty, we manage the SAP-mandated follow-up testing schedule — a minimum of six unannounced tests over the first 12 months.

Testing Methods

Types of Drug & Alcohol Tests

We offer multiple testing methods to meet both DOT and non-DOT requirements.

Urine Drug Testing

The standard DOT testing method. Screens for five drug classes: marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and phencyclidine (PCP).

Breath Alcohol Testing

Evidential breath testing (EBT) devices measure blood alcohol concentration. Required for DOT alcohol testing programs.

Hair Follicle Testing

Non-DOT option offering a longer detection window — up to 90 days. Ideal for pre-employment screening with a deeper history.

Non-DOT Workplace Testing

Beyond DOT-regulated industries, we provide drug and alcohol testing for general employers who want to maintain a safe, drug-free workplace.

  • Custom drug testing policies
  • Pre-employment and random testing
  • Post-accident and reasonable suspicion
  • Hair follicle and instant testing options
For All Employers

Drug-Free Workplace Programs

Not every employer is regulated by the DOT, but every employer benefits from a drug-free workplace. We help companies outside the transportation industry design and implement testing programs tailored to their needs.

From construction sites to manufacturing floors, we provide flexible testing solutions that promote safety and reduce liability — all with the same professional service our DOT clients receive.

Training & Education

Compliance Training Programs

Knowledge is your first line of defense. We offer training programs that keep your supervisors and employees informed and your company compliant.

Supervisor Reasonable Suspicion Training

Mandatory 2-hour course (1 hour drug, 1 hour alcohol) for supervisors of CDL drivers. Covers physical, behavioral, and performance indicators.

Employee Education Program

Educate your drivers and safety-sensitive employees on DOT policies, testing procedures, and the consequences of policy violations.

Policy Development Assistance

We help you create or review your company drug and alcohol testing policy to ensure full DOT compliance and clear employee communication.
